Suffolk is a county filled with natural beauty situated on the east coast of England, bordered by 50 miles of glorious coastline and topped with breathtakingly beautiful open skies.

I was lucky enough to spend a week there in November 2021 based in a small holiday cottage just outside Southwold. The main purpose of the visit, apart from a few days away, was to attend an RPS ‘Suffolk Sunrise’ Photo workshop led by professional photographer Justin Minns.

The workshop started before sunrise at Southwold Pier and we were lucky enough to see the sunrise and capture some long exposure images before moving on to photograph the line of beach huts. After that we ventured to Sizewell beach capture some long exposure / black and white images of the shoreline and structures from the old Sizewell A power station.

Other days were spent walking on Dunwich Heath and visiting Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings.
