Winter, the coldest season of the year, comes between autumn and spring. It is associated with plunging temperatures and icy weather. In this gallery you’ll find a selection of images showing winter in an intimate way and in a wider way. Lazy photographers like me often don’t get up early enough to get those frosty or icy mornings, but after a heavy snowfall there’s nothing like a good walk to capture some of the beautiful scenery and tableaus that the weather provides.
One advantage of course of the winter season is that the sunrise is later and the sunset is earlier!
