As you wander around Venice and its suburbs you can see that the residents don’t have much outside space in which to hang washing. In fact most houses don’t have a garden at all. So washing is hung out of upstairs windows along the front of the houses or apartments. This is Venice – City Life.

As Venice has developed over the years with many bridges and narrow alleyways and streets criss crossing the city. Much of the old property has a run down appearance and must be expensive to maintain.
